- Biography
- Chris joined the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Authority as a Senior Advisor in July 2025 with extensive experience in international banking supervision and financial innovation. He previously spent 24 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was a Senior Vice President, and served as Chief Executive of the Dubai Financial Services Authority. He has worked at the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and the IMF, contributing to capital standards and assessments of supervisory frameworks. More recently, he was Head of Programmes at MIT’s Digital Currency Initiative and led philanthropic work at the Gates Foundation to improve access to financial services for underserved populations in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Chris holds degrees from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and the University of Virginia and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and a member of the Bretton Woods Committee.
