- Biography
- Nino Jeladze is Vice Governor and Member of the Board of the National Bank of Georgia, having been appointed in February 2025. In her current role, she is responsible for the supervision of banking and non-banking financial institutions, payment service providers, and virtual asset service providers. She also oversees AML/CFT inspection and supervision, as well as the Specialized Risks function. Prior to her appointment as Vice Governor, Ms. Jeladze served as Head of the Supervisory Policy Department, where she led the modernization of Georgia’s regulatory and supervisory framework in line with Basel III standards and the EU’s CRR/CRD framework. Before joining the National Bank of Georgia, Ms. Jeladze held senior positions in commercial banking in both Georgia and Germany, with a particular focus on compliance, anti-money laundering, operational risk management, and corporate governance. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in International Economic Relations and Law and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector.
