Biography

Kjetil Watne has extensive experience from various assignments at Norges Bank within the financial stability and payment systems areas. Including oversight and supervision, RTGS operations and policy execution and strategic planning. He is now a special advisor in the unit for payments analysis and innovation and is currently leading Norges Bank's project on exploration of issues related to issuing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in Norwegian Kroner.
