Biography

Mr Odean White, JP, M.Sc. is an experienced banker with expertise in risk management, strategic planning, policy development and investment portfolio management. Over the last two decades, he has held several key senior leadership positions within the Jamaican financial sector. He is well known as an adaptive, transformational leader with a track record of building effective organisational systems, structures and capacity to enable the achievement of corporate strategic objectives. In his current role as Chief Risk Officer at Bank of Jamaica, he is responsible for designing and implementing policies, procedures and systems to enable organizational resilience and ensure long-term sustainability. This includes infusing futures/foresight methods in the analysis of prevailing and emerging risks in the operating landscape to inform strategic thinking and decision-making. Outside of his professional life, Mr White is a mentor/life coach and serves as a Justice of the Peace for the island of Jamaica. He enjoys watching and playing sports and spending quality time with friends and family.
