- Sang Hyuk Lim is a visiting economist at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), working in the Innovation and the Digital Economy unit. Prior to joining the BIS, he worked in the Payment and Settlement Department and the Digital Currency Research Division at the Bank of Korea, where he conducted research on digital currencies, financial technology (fintech) and innovations in payment systems. His work focuses on tokenisation, stablecoins and policy issues related to the future of money and payments. He holds an MSc in Fintech from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Yonsei University.
