Biography

Nancy van der Wal is Head of Corporate Communications at the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS), where she has developed extensive experience in strategic communication and stakeholder engagement. In her role, she oversees both internal and external communications and advises the Board of Directors and senior management on communication-related matters. She played a key role in the introduction of the Caribbean guilder, contributing to the coordination and communication of this major monetary transition. Her work includes aligning complex projects with clear communication strategies across multiple stakeholders. Nancy holds a BA in Journalism from Hogeschool Utrecht in the Netherlands and has completed various international programs in communication, management, and corporate governance. She is also an editor and author of several publications.
