Sophie Lefebvre is the Senior Director responsible for the Markets and Banking Department’s operational resilience, fiscal agent policy, and market operations conducted from the Calgary Operational Site (COS), as well as the overall oversight and management of the office. Since joining the Bank, Sophie has held progressively senior analytical and leadership roles across several departments, including the former Funds Management and Banking, Financial Stability, and Financial Markets. Previously, Sophie served as Director, Markets Operational Risk and Compliance, leading initiatives focused on operational readiness, risk resilience, and monitoring. Sophie brings extensive experience in risk management, financial market operations, payment system oversight, and fiscal agent policies and operations, and holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Carleton University.
